UNIVERSITÉ PARIS-SACLAY Sport sciences, Kinesiology and Human Movement (2S2MH) The doctoral school

ED 566 “Sport Sciences, Kinesiology and Human Movement (2S2MH)” is one of two doctoral schools in France dedicated to sport sciences and movement. It aims to unite research units in the Paris region that take a multidisciplinary approach to sports and human movement. The 2S2MH Doctoral School is co-accredited by 3 universities (Paris-Sud, Paris-Ouest, Paris-Descartes). Its researchers come primarily from section 74 (STAPS - Science and Technique of Physical and Sports Activities) of the CNU (National Council of Universities). However, because of its interdisciplinary nature, it includes teams from other sections: 05 (Economics), 16 (Psychology), 19 (Sociology), 60 (Mechanics), 66 (Physiology), 69 (Neuroscience) and the CNRS National Committee sections 22 (Biomechanics), 26 (Physiology), 29 (Neuroscience) and 36 (Sociology).

PARKER UNIVERSITY

Parker University is a private university focused on healthcare and located in Dallas, Texas. The university operates a second chiropractic clinic in Irving, Texas, the site of its first campus. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Council on Chiropractic Education, and the Commission of Massage Therapy Accreditation.[1] Founded in 1982 as Parker College of Chiropractic, the school was renamed Parker University in 2011.[2] The school has more than 1,000 students.

CMCC, CANADIAN MEMORIAL CHIROPRACTIC COLLEGE

CMCC is a Canadian university located in Toronto. Since 1945, it has offered a four-year chiropractic programme that includes six months of clinical training. 200 students join the programme each year, for a total of 800 students.

CHAIRE DE RECHERCHE INTERNATIONALE EN SANTÉ NEURO-MUSCULO-SQUELETTIQUE (INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CHAIR ON NEUROMUSCULOSKELETTAL HEALTH)

The Chair was created in 2019 to work on 2 main topics: 1) the maintenance of functional capacities for patients suffering from spine disorders; 2) the understanding of physiology mechanisms involved in the efficiency of conservative cares such as chiropractic. In relationship with chiropractic, the Chair team studies the effects of spine manipulations and other innovant technics on pain, inflammation and joint degeneration. Professor Martin Descarreaux from the Department of Physical activity sciences at UQTR holds the Research Chair. He is helped by Mathieu Piché, professor at the Department of anatomy at UQTR, and Arnaud Lardon, Head of Research at IFEC.
